Travelodge by Wyndham Williamsburg North

We checked in at 530 pm when check in is at 3 ... none of the rooms were ready... and the manager wanted us to stay in the dirty rooms. i asked for extra toilet paper and was give a half used roll. there was trash under the beds and in the corner of the clean rooms. One room had ants in their bed. and left over food in a dress drawer.... in one of the rooms the Victorian suite the "clean" folded towel had dried blood on it... in one of the room the shower curtain had brown smudges and blood drops on it. in the sheets of one bed there was a sesame seeds. one night the out fuse blew for the AC and the manager came in with no shoes on to try to fix it. Now the swimming pool that had pictures online as clean and inviting was not even close to what was advertised. It was a POND! it had dirty

The front desk is hard to communicate with, and the room wasn't clean. There was hair in the shower, and there was dirt on the floor. Breakfast was minimal, and the towels were very worn.

The Days Inn Williamsburg, Iowa has recently remodeled. Our five rooms were all very spacious and clean. It was nice to have the in room microwave, dorm size refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. The light variety of breakfast items were enjoyed by all. The pool area was roomy with a pool and hot tub, both very clean. Location was close to town. Manager Ken was very accommodating and available at anytime day or night. We were very pleased to have picked this Days Inn for our family weekend together.

The hotel was visibly dirty, trash in the parking lot driveway. Inside there was dirt on the floors and cobwebs in the stairway and halls. The first rooms were were given were not cleaned (bed not made, towels on the floor, trash in the can) and were not the room configurations we reserved (we had 2 rooms reserved). The second set of rooms we were given we couldn't get into because the keycards did not work. The staff treated us like imbeciles and took us upstairs to teach us how to use keycards. Amazingly, the keycards did not work for them either. The third set of rooms we were able to get into, were the right configuration, but one of them did not have a working HVAC as the knobs were missing. Sheets had not been changed, found a used tissue when top sheet was turned down. Had to get housekeeping to come and change out bedding.
