Travelodge by Wyndham Outer Banks/Kill Devil Hills

We went June of 2025. There was no A/C so we had to door dash fans and it was still miserably hot, it didn’t help it was like 90 degrees. The service wasn’t bad definitely not the best but what you would expect for this price. The location was great! You were right by beach access and had a shower close to so great location. The Pool was good not dirty. It was clear and a good size pool

We stayed at the same hotel in April. At that time it was better. In April we had the 4th floor. For this stay we asked for King size bed on highest floor. We got 3rd floor this time that was handicapped accessible. We did not ask for that. The room was outdated. The microwave worked but did not spin. The comforter had stains. The chairs on balcony were black marks. They stopped the grab and go breakfast. Told me it had been stopped long time ago. They did have it when I stayed before. Most of the staff not friendly but were in April. Next time we will stay somewhere else. The pictures you see online are not what you get. As a Wyndham rewards member, we will stay at a different hotel next time.

Positive: This hotel should have a higher star rating. This hotel has a 1980-1990's decour that is maintained like it is brand new. The pool is beautiful and cleaned on a daily basis. Very quiet, plenty of free parking. Staff very friendly. Negative: Nothing

If you’re looking for a cheap hotel to stay in and don’t care about anything else, this is the place. But if you have cleanliness standards don’t even consider this hotel. The location is great and right across the street from a public beach access but that’s about the only good thing. The whole building has a musty smell, probably from the animals that stay on the first floor. Housekeeping will not come into your room and do basic housekeeping like normal hotels. You have to track housekeepers down to get rid of dirty towels, get new towels, and take out garbage. The carpets look like they haven’t been vacuum and haven’t been cleaned in years. Crumbs and dirt from previous guests can be seen on the floor. I didn’t walk around without shoes on. The walls in the shower have visible mold on

Great hotel in great location. I place a high importance on a good comfortable bed & this place doesn't disappoint. Easy checkin, nice clean room, space for our things, etc. Walking distance to the ocean. Very reasonably priced, we couldn't have been happier.
