Trails Country Motel

Was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and comfort we experienced here. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the room was spacious and quiet. Big and comfortable king size bed. Grocery and restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend at only $55 a night. Will definitely be my first choice if we ever need accommodations again while in Winnsboro.

There aren't many places to stay in Winnsboro and I'm taking this off our list. When we first entered the room it smelled musty, we tried to air it out but the temperature outside was in the high 30's so we couldn't leave the door open long. An air freshener spray helped but you could still smell the room. Towels were cheap, bedspread was smelly, thin cheap sheets. My wife slept in her clothes, we kept our bags on the table and what we wore to bed we packed in a plastic bag just in case. The only way I would stay here again is if there is a complete remodel and they do something to upgrade the place.

I've stayed here once a year for the last 22 years for the annual Parker Family Reunion. I've always enjoyed my stay. Clean rooms, wifi,microwave and cable TV. The family that owns and manages Trails Country are friendly people who care about their guests. I really enjoyed the recently renovated room this year. In spite of Texas heat and humidity that new A/C had me under the blanket. Located on the edge of historic Winnsboro, it's five minutes to anywhere in town. Thanks for a great stay.

It’s not fancy, but they do a fantastic job keeping it clean. We stay here in the same rooms every year for a fishing trip, and the owner and his wife do a wonderful job taking care of us. I have no idea about other accommodations in Winnsboro, but I would certainly be happy to recommend this place.

Went to go hunting, and needed a room. They 1st set us up with a room that smelled really bad of cigarette smoke. I requested a 2nd room, and that room smelled really bad like mold. The shower had black mold, the carpeting needed to be replaced, it was really gross. (the owner needs to put tile on the floor, not carpeting) I was worried about getting some sort of lung disease. After getting back at 2:30am, I decided to drive back home, (a 5 hour drive). I just could not stand the smell of the room.
