Trailhead Guesthouse

December 2024 This is the third time I’ve stayed at the Trailhead in Midvale, ID, and it will also be the last. The first two times it was a pleasant stay and very convenient for large family gatherings. This time there is a noticeable difference in the quality of the space. There were wet towels left in the washing machine, so many stains on the carpet that I didn’t feel comfortable walking around without shoes (I did, as that is requested, and the bottoms of my socks turned brown after the first night), and there were mouse droppings in all of the kitchen utensil drawers. When I called the owner to explain, she sent her housekeeper over to clean up, after I’d already rewashed and dried the towels and washed half of the utensils. Trailhead hostel was a life saver!!! My daughter got a flat tire driving through Midvale after all service stations are closed. Elsa went above and beyond. She quickly cleaned the room and even brought sheets from her own house since they were at full capacity and had not done laundry yet. She made sure the girls were safe and even arranged for someone to follow her back to Weiser to get her tire changed. Thanks for taking such good care of my girls and providing the best customer service we’ve had in a long time. The room was clean and safe and we so appreciate it!!

This hidden gem is tucked away on the main street of tiny Midvale, Idaho. If you want to get away from it all, book a night or two in this charming guesthouse..
