TownePlace Suites by Marriott Miami Kendall West

This is an incredible location!!! Everything you want/need is located right outside the entrance to the hotel. Also, grocery stores and shopping is less than a half mile walk. The staff here is outstanding!!!! They address any needs/concerns immediately. They are all very helpful, friendly, polite, professional. This is to include the overnight security team- just a wonderful group of employees here!!! The breakfast is standard (offering eggs, meats, cerials, juices, toast, fresh fruit....). But where they really shine for me is their oatmeal bar- BEST selections to mix in for all the things I love to stay healthy!!!

Positive: The kitchens with full size fridge and stove Negative: Pool not cleaned in morning and lots of bugs, lots of trash in retention pond behind pool at hotel, not what you want to see. Rugs and decor , accesories like pillows on couches starting to look worn out and outdated, needs a complete refresh.

Eduardo at the front desk made our stay even better. From the moment we interacted with him, he was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuine. He went out of his way to be helpful to me and my family.||His warmth and positive energy made me feel special and taken care of. It was exactly what I needed to start my day on the right note.||The hotel itself was perfect for our stay while visiting family. The room was very comfortable, and having access to laundry on-site was incredibly convenient.||Overall, it was a great experience, and the service truly stood out.

I would probably give this property a 4.5 if I could. The property is a little older and could use a little refresher, but it is in overall good condition and was very convenient for getting to the Shark Valley Visitor Center which was our reason for being in the area. They were not able to honor our original room type, but I appreciated that they emailed me in advance to let me know and offered some token Marriott points. It was kind of annoying that they didn't have the room that we had reserved WAY in advance, but at least they let me know in advance that they were switching our room.

Rooms are pretty modern and have the kitchenette which is handy. Breakfast was miserable. It’s complimentary but it’s terrible. The TVs are really really slow. The remote doesn’t work if you’re using a gaming console on the tv. The pillows are pretty bad too. They just collapse and you need like 3 of them to support your head. Lots of good dining options a short walk from the hotel which is good. Staff are friendly and helpful.
