TownePlace Suites by Marriott Kernersville

We were coming into town for a funeral from Ohio but had to turn around due to a bad snow storm in West Virginia. We were past our cancellation time and would have been charged for one night per room. Joseph, the GM at the property, cancelled our reservations and removed the one night fee! As we were hanging up he said “condolences to your family”. This type of customer service is rare these days, and it’s so nice to see young men like Joseph show such dignity and class. I’ve always had great service with Marriott properties but this one takes the cake!

Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, friendly staff, brand new. Overall experience was very positive, and this place has great potential under the management of Joseph, who remembered my name; but we did encounter a few issues: The room we had reserved on the top floor was given to someone else, so we were below them and I did hear quite a bit of thumping above me for a while in the morning, but it didn't continue for a long time. There is new construction going on right behind the hotel, which was directly across from our room, & the scissor lift was constantly making beeping noise, but couldn't hear it much in the room until next morning when room was quiet & they began at 7:16 AM, requiring me to put ear plugs in. Water never got hot, but was cold or somewhat warm, which made for an unenjo

This hotel was exceptional! Rooms very spacious and clean. The staff were really lovely. Both Edward and Viral were very helpful all during a big snow storm. Highly recommend!

The hotel is new and the room was fresh and clean. This is a great place to stay as long as you are ok with a cool shower. Not a great way to start your day in my opinion.

Stayed here for the week in the midst of two winter weather events. Loved the property. The hospitality and kindness from Edward and Viral were exceptional. Thank you.
