Tops Motel

I stayed at this quirky motel for two different nights in August of 2025 and enjoyed the stays. Each small room was slightly different but were both fairly clean. Each had an A/C, mini fridge, microwave, TV, free Internet, and a very comfortable bed. Being a budget motel, do not expect modern appliances or perfect everything here. The staff were both very polite and asked if I needed anything else, while I was hanging out in the parking lot. Great service. The location couldn't be much closer to the interstate. I doubt any other motel is closer to the interstate in the entire region. Extremely convenient! My only complaint is that the key and door locks did not work as intended, with a different issue each visit. I hope the key system is updated when I plan to visit around the same tim

Tammy was kind and helpful, the rooms were clean, and they're pet-friendly. I knocked off one star because the walls are pretty thin, although that's reasonably expected given the price. I woke up to my dog growling at the sounds of people leaving adjacent rooms, which sounded much closer than it was.

The hotel is old with apparent long-term residents. I'm confident you understand that element. ||||Check-in was interesting...however, after some smiles and kindness the lady checking me in warmed up. Initially, it seemed like I was bothering her.||||My room is FINE...traditional old-school motel layout. Does have a flatscreen with good channels, microwave, small fridge. ||||It is an older hotel. Furnishings are dated, but functional. My biggest complaint is this: In 48 years of staying in hotels and being a Level 22 hotel reviewer on Tripadvisor - I have NEVER walked into a room that smelled this strong of sanitizer/air fresnher and artificial scent - I am talking - it smelled like someone took a can of Glade and sprayed it directly in my face - you could literally taste it. I arrived here only 15 minutes ago, dead tired. It's 343am. The lady (Tammy) got up, let me in and was so pleasant we just chatted while her cat Roxy let me pet her. It was so nice, despite being tired, I enjoyed our interaction. My room is clean, functional and definitely older. I have a .microwave, fridge, flat screen tv, a small desk and chair. The bathroom is a tub-shower combo and toilet, with the vanity and wall mirror outside the door. The bed is comfy and I shall be asleep shortly. I just really appreciated the service so I am getting this done before I forget with my long drive ahead. Best part of the experience so far is the service received!

They have about three full size truck parking spots this hotel is like staying in something from nineteen sixty nine. room was clean.Everything worked in, it found no issues. Old school truck stop style, restaurant about two hundred yards away. And by the way, the hotel manager loves chocolate cream pie.
