Top Hat Motel

The room was about average compared to other motels I've stayed at, nice bathroom tho. Low rating was because the heat wouldn't come on and there were no extra blankets in the room. We ended up leaving at 3am (after the others were done bar hopping). I wouldn't book there again. Very thin walls - the people in the room next to me got back just before my friend and, although not intentionally loud, I easily heard their entire conversation. *Caveat - under new management (very nice people) and I know they're working on improvements. So, things may get better but I don't know when. I just know I was friggin' cold even half clothed and under the very thin blanket.

I rented on the weekly rate. First day I showed up was told they didn't have anything available and to come back the next day. Came back the next day to be told they only did weekly rates Sunday to Sunday. Why didn't she tell me that right away? Should have been my sign right there that it was a terrible ran establishment. Got into the room and the bathroom tile is broke in pieces and lose from the floor. A total safety hazard. Water shoots out the side of the shower head and no lock between my door and the neighbors. No wifi, hardly any channels on the TV and open air drug sales going on in the parking lot. She kicked a pregnant girl and her boyfriend out in the middle of December and because they asked me to give them a ride to find a new place she had the audacity to call me a druggie

Do not stay here. We booked our room through the River Road Motel website next door to Top Hat. We did not know that we would be put into the Top Hat motel room. We get to check-in and they let us know we were in the Top Hat building. Ok, fine, no big deal. The woman at the check-in was very kind and friendly. However, upon going to our room, we walk by the staff throwing used bedsheets over the second story railing into the parking lot down below. There was a large pile of bedsheets chilling in the parking lot all day. After entering our room, we turned around to lock the door and could see daylight around the whole door. The room was very large, but the cleaning left much to be desired. There were clear attempts made to update the room we were in, but the results looked very much “landl

Run the other way and don't look back. Check in was at 3 at River Road Motel which also owns Top Hat, we got here at 3:30. Went to go into our room and it wasn't cleaned from the last guest, bed used, trash in trash cans etc. We told her, she said come back in an hour it will be clean. Okay cool, things happen. Come back an hour later, still not clean. She tells us she will get someone to clean it, come back an hour later. STILL not clean. Tell the manager and she puts us in the hotel next door that they also own, Top Hat Motel. Door will barely open, and once we get inside, the ac was busted on a 90 degree day, they forgot to put blankets on the bed, no towels, room is extremely run down. We walk back and tell the lady. She said she would have a guy bring a portable ac. Come to find out

Not what we were expecting when we got there. Nothing like the picture on line. Office door was locked so we had to wait for the employee to get back and when she died then we had to wait for her to show someone else there room and when she got back from that we were able to check in. Lucky is wasn't too cold outside. We get to our room and the key didn't open the door so we had to walk back to the office to get another key. Room was clean and everything worked .
