Scenic Hipcamp site with great hosts. Secluded car camping spots right on the creek. Other guests were staying close but could not see or hear them. They do a great job of spreading people out. It's kid friendly and porta potties are available. I plan on going again.

They provide a free camping area for cyclists. It isn't fancy, picnic table, chairs, mowed area for your tent. There is a path to the river but the river was too high, fast and muddy when we were there. They were very nice and it felt secure, they locked the access gate. I texted them ahead of time and they left some water on the picnic table, otherwise you'd need to get it at the convenience store in town. They accept donations and it sounds like they are working to improve it. It was a little noisy from the road across the river, but not too bad. There is a Porta John at the end of the field by the RV sites, which can be reserved on hip camp.

Camped here the night before we went to Newport Aquarium. It was nice to end that long drive with rest then get to early and go to the Aquarium!

This is our second stay and we enjoy the peaceful location; plenty of room to spread out and relax. As always, the clean port-a-let, handwash station and picnic table are huge perks!! Thanks for coming out to check on us and we look forward to our next visit (hopefully no rain, lol!)

Fred was extremely kind to let me camp here while I was riding the Ohio to Erie Trail. The place is beautiful and very well maintained.
