Campground is clean and there is a lot of chopped-down wood. I wouldn't stay here again. It is located very near a large population center. I lost count of the number of cars, trucks and loud UTVs / Side-by-Sides, and motorcycles that cruised through the loop. These vehicles are a few feet from your tent. I understand that the place just reopened after 8 years and locals are interested in driving up the canyon... but looping through the campground is rude and annoying. Over 50 vehicles per hour, right up to 10 p.m.. $29 is not worth it. Host was cheerful and kind.

One of the hidden gems as far as campgrounds go. Has been closed for many years due to Santaquin Canyon closure, but now the canyon is open again. I can’t wait for the campground to reopen.

My family has been camping at Tinney Flat most years for the past 45 years. It is a great place for kids to play. The river is generally shallow and makes a great "swimming" hole for little and big ones alike. The toilets by the group areas are flush and kept pretty clean. However, the others are still pit toilets. The canyon is narrow and deep. The road to get to Tinney is paved, however it is narrow and winding with numerous "blind" turns. It is easy enough to drive as long as you don't run into a crazy driver coming the opposite way. Pulling a trailer is ok and many people do it, but it is risky.

An awesome campground that is a fairly short drive away from anywhere in Utah Valley. The road up to the campground is completely paved, but does get a little steep. Large campsites here that can easily accommodate family gatherings or group outings, but reservations do need to be made months in advance sometimes.

This is a great campsite. The sites all have a good amount of trees to give them shade during the day. All sites were left clean. There is plenty of exploring and hiking to do around the area. A shallow river runs right near the sites that is fun to let the kids play in. Drinking water is not available at every campsite.
