Listen, this is a nice place for skiers, especially beginners and kids. But for snowboarders over half the mountain is very flat :( Making it very difficult to enjoy. Weekend lift tickets for 9am-5pm are $90 There’s 3 lifts. One is for the beginner terrain. One is for 3 other trails. And the “longer” lift brings you to a few other (mostly green trails) at the top. If you are a moderate or experienced skier or boarder, this place isn’t for yoh. However if you have kids, ski or are a beginner this mountain is for you! But if you’re learning to snowboard, this ISNT the place! If anyone is familiar with Mt Southington in CT, THAT mountain is significantly bigger than this one😅 just for the context on size! Views are nice and the staff is very friendly. Conviently located for people who live

Visited in early March and the conditions were surprisingly good. They have a solid 18-inch base and 4 of 6 lifts running. The 'packed powder' on the summit held up well. It's a fantastic, low-stress alternative to the bigger, more crowded resorts further north. Great value for a local day of skiing!" Family-friendly, Beginner-focused, and Cozy. The the Ski School is great for younger kids, and the Slopeside Pub offers fantastic views.

I've been a skier for my entire life, and while Thunder ridge is not an experts playground, it is a highly accessible and excellent learners mountain. Cannot say enough good words about the snow sports staff and the quality of their instruction for my two young children. Kids had a fun time and were able to graduate from the bunny hill to the chair lift in their first day on skis. Truly a great little hill for the family close to home.

Ideal ski resort for BEGINNER skiers (and families with young children). This “no-frills” resort is catered to first-time skiers or families. Most of the resort are beginner “green” trails, with a small handful of blue & black trails. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended (whether for ski school, lift tickets, or equipment rentals) because this resort does sometimes sell out. Staff is kind & friendly. (The resort’s website neatly answers all of your questions, and if anything is not there, you can call the resort and they’ll politely help you). Food options at this resort are slim (there’s a snack canteen on the 2nd floor, and there’s a mediocre waffles stand near the entrance). Upon arriving here, park at the unpaved lot, which has no lines or spots (the lot can fill up quickly). Th

Great place to go for beginners. I went there for the first time in fear but by the time I left. I was having a great time. Made some friends learned a lot and will definitely be back again. You can come in and easily rent the equipment to snowboard or ski and have a good time.
