Overall our experience was very good and we will go back. However, our site was completely covered in leaves and the site number was not very clear so it was difficult to find it initially. The sites need to be better marked. ||Plus several guests around us that appeared to be long term guests went well past sundown mowing & blowing their own sites. We had hoped to sit out and enjoy the peaceful outdoors but it was anything but peaceful. This was not just a night but occurred most days we were there,
This thousand trails is a pretty good park. For its size I would expect a indoor pool with being open year round. They have a large space for events but nothing going on. It is quiet and can see the stars really well. Some sites are cement other rock that just turns to mud when it rains. Premium sites are just standard sites anywhere else. Staff seems nice.
Nice campground, quiet and clean and even the dog park is decent for dogs. Sites are nicely wooded and probably in the summer is a great location for kids. Winter camping is best for us=no kids.
We stayed here for 3 weeks in December 2025 and left early. They have major water issues. The water went out twice due to a line break. Then at least another 2 times for repairs/maintenance. I get this happens, but our neighbor who has been staying there for 13 years said it’s been much worse over the last few years. Also, when calling in about it they said they can’t call 400 people to alert them. Really? You can send an email or a text in about 30 seconds if you have the proper system. And thousand trails has a reservation system so idk why they can’t email/text you prior to turning the water off or in the event of a line break. The laundry room is dirty and one of the washers was out of service. On a positive note they do accept packages, not first class mail though.
I camp at this park alot since I'm a full time rving. It's clean in the cabins, the bathouses are spacious and clean. The spaces are very large and easy to get into. The people there are amazing!
