The Wyatt Earp House

My boys and I were out for a walk this morning, at like 7am, and were taking a picture when the family that owns it came out. They were super sweet and opened it so the boys and I could check it out. Super cool! If we come back, we will definitely stay there.

Stayed there 2 nights! 5 min walk to historic Tombstone. 3 Houses included in this rental!! They were all clean and very comfortable. Deer all around. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the pink sunsets imagining what the world looked like to Wyatt Earp. Will return with more family.

For starters, the Wyatt Earp House is not a museum and not open to the public. But you can see most of it from the street. The house is actually a small rental cottage that can be rented for the weekend. I am not sure how accurate the cottage is to the actual cottage that Wyatt Earp lived in. Lastly, according to historians, the actual location of Wyatt Earp's house was located across the street, where you'll find a dirt lot today.

A wonderful place to stay. I mean, you couldn't ask for a better place, especially in Tombstone. I love the whole setup at the Wyatt Earp house. Now, if you have problems stepping over items or have balance issues, you might not want to rent this one. The shower is above an old-time bathtub. It has very little room to turn around, and you could easily lose your balance and fall. They have two other houses on the same property. Their showers are very modern, and they may be a better choice.

We stayed the night there on our way to Huntington Beach CA for our cross country trip in a 1920 Model T and it was amazing. Small kitchen in Wyatt’s part he slept in but larger kitchen in the house behind it. The deer love to come through and nibble on the trees. They are friendly and you may pet one if you can coerce it.
