The Winnfield Lodge

Yes, the hotel itself is a little old but the room was very clean & the service was excellent. The water is brown but that is expected when surrounded by lakes in Louisiana so we didn't mind. We had 10 rooms reserved & everything was ready in a timely manner, we even got early check-ins. The restaurant was good also. The Gumbo is homemade & very yummy!

The Winnfield Lodge is a great family-owned hotel near the heart of town. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Beds are so comfy, there's always plenty of hot water, and the air-conditioning works great! All the staff members are friendly and caring, and go out of their way to accommodate the guests. It is a pet-friendly hotel, and still very clean! The on-site restaurant is called Embers, and offers breakfast, lunch & dinner. The food is delicious, home-style cooking! You can charge meals to your room. People are always picking up take-out orders also (hotel guests and local town residents)! We are happy to call Winnfield Lodge our home away from home! Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back! Sonic is across the street, E Z Mart convenience store & gas station right

It took almost an hour to check in, even though the place didn't seem that busy. They didn't give me a room key but instead walked me to the room and opened the door for me. The lady said if I left the room I would have to come get her to open it again. I only spent a few minutes in the room, since the power and water didn't work. I went back to the front and was assured I would receive a refund, but my credit card statement shows they charged me anyway. I don't know how this place is in business. If you are in town try the motel in Joyce only a few miles away.

We needed lodging on short notice, and the lodge worked just fine. Not fancy, but clean and renovated. Had a good breakfast in the morning in the restaurant. Nice omelet, quick service, plenty of good coffee..

Rugs need to be upgraded. There is a restaurant, never ate there and the pool was green. Apparently not used. Some tenants were barbaqueing probably workers. Which is fine but created a hot spot for flies. Was too close to the rooms.
