The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas

I felt compelled to write a review given many people have been critical of this resort. We have been coming here for at least five years over Christmas, and I can honestly say this was one of our BEST stays. The staff is very friendly, even at check in when they are incredibly busy on a Saturday. Daily the housekeeping staff is quick to deliver anything needed, detergent, towels, coffee, and always show up with a smile. The grounds were as clean and beautiful as they have ever been, and other than the annoying towels all over the hotel chairs at the early morning hours, which every hotel deals with, I can say we had the best trip! They do make an effort to clear towels off chairs that are not being used, but it's a non stop process. Snorkeling off the beach at this location is lite

Positive: Pool Negative: Not working air conditioning got a box fan. Have a 3 y/o couldn’t open 6th floor lanai door for safety reasons. Took 3 hours to get the room as no one would help me due to being a frequent visitor for their guests with instacart so I was given wrong room

Just completed a 7 night stay as a hotel guest...not a Vacation Club owner.||We booked an ocean view, one bedroom villa. These are the units with a full kitchen, large living room/dining room, one king bed with a pull out couch in the living room (which we did not use) and an oversized bathroom.||We were on the second floor in Building 2 and had the ocean view without obstruction.||This is a property that is well kept with grounds that are beautiful, a staff that is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and willing to please. We only used one of the pools, but it was in excellent condition.||Like many resorts, people show up early in the day and drape towels on the chairs to hold them. Pool security wasn't all that strict about enforcing the one hour rule, but the property had enough chairs

What more can we say about this place. Great spot, nice beach , big and well furnished rooms. Helpful and friendly staff. Walking distance to Whaler’s Village. Food is decent, a bit pricy, but that is to be expected. Just a fantastic place to hang out and relax for a week or two. Full kitchen, several BBQs ready for use, make meals, eat at the restaurant, or order in, all super easy. Will certainly return.

Resort from the outside is beautiful, & the rooms are fairly clean and comfortable. We stayed in a one bed, one bath, with kitchenette in building 6. Resort staff is friendly, but I feel could be a little more knowledgeable of where things are when asked to help find your way around the place. I also would have preferred house keeping cleaned kitchen countertops & hard floors more throughly. I don’t like the fact that you aren’t able to have late check-out accommodations. You have to be out of your room by 10AM. They do offer a guest lounge for people who have late flights. You’re able to hang out, use resort amenities, and shower before your flight. It is less than desirable though. I believe the lounge is out dated & smells like mildew & mold. It is located in the basement of building tw
