The Westin Chicago North Shore

We just spend a weekend there for our dance competition. Even though the hotel was booked solid I have to say that their customer service was exceptional. We were given an early check in and late check out and the staff was professional and very kind of all times. At times the line would be formed by the elevators from the event at the hotel (it would be busy for few minutes) but It didn’t really bother me. We enjoyed a nice dinner at the Italian restaurant within the hotel, the food was very good. I highly recommend The Westin Chicago North Shore to everyone who is looking for an exceptional experience.

I have stayed at this Westin several times and usually need to book early. The reason? Its a great place to stay. Every stay I have had at the property has been outstanding, from the check-in process, quality of the room, Westin club, etc. ||During my latest stay, I checked in on my birthday and was told happy birthday by the friendly person behind the counter - completely unsolicited. That was only to be outdone by a bump to a junior suite at no cost and a slice of birthday cake/card waiting for me in the room. ||Another example of a worldwide chain that is represented by great employees. Will definitely be back.

Everything that could have gone wrong did. I have stayed in a lot of hotels but I have never experienced anything this bad. I am so disappointed in both the quality of my room and the lack of service at the Westin. There were no close parking spaces- making it very difficult to unload and reload. I requested that my room be feather-free but after 20 minutes in the room, I realized that it was NOT as I had an allergy attack. I saw a feather float across the room and went to the phone to dial guest services to change rooms. Near the phone, I saw a vent covered in black mold. I tried to get a hold of someone at the front desk or in guest services and the phone rang and rang and I hear many different automated messages as I was bounced around and could not reach a single person. I want to sincerely thank Mauricio Tamay, Front Office Supervisor, for his outstanding service. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I truly appreciated that he kindly allowed me to check back in for a late checkout when my flight was unexpectedly delayed. Travel delays can be stressful, but Mauricio handled everything with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. He went above and beyond to accommodate my situation, making a frustrating day so much easier and more comfortable. His excellent customer service and willingness to help truly reflect the high standards I associate with Marriott. Thank you, Mauricio, for turning a challenging situation into a positive experience! Also Monica Sanchez did a great job cleaning the room :)

The convention rooms are spacious and clean. Rooms are a bit too dark at night. Day time was well lit by natural light. All necessities are present and the room smells nice! Heavenly bed was very comfortable. They have a bus that you can book at the front desk to bring you within 5 miles radius. So this is a wonderful service. An exceptional front desk staff Zaya will make you feel welcome everytime you stepped into the lobby. This is a wonderfully warm and much welcome gesture for me. The indoor pool and gym is decent. There is a Starbucks in the hotel. Which makes it convenient to get coffee.
