The Waters of Minocqua

I was hesitant to book here after reading mixed reviews but so glad we decided to! Even though this hotel was undergoing renovations, everything exceeded my expectations. ||The staff were truly lovely and accommodating. We booked the most basic room and ended up on the top floor in a newly renovated room. The room had high vaulted ceilings, clean comfortable beds, a large tv with streaming services and a cute little balcony overlooking the woods. While the entire lobby was closed for renovations, a wonderful breakfast was still available and setup in a conference room. The hotel also had on-site coin laundry, perfect for drying out our snow gear, and was less than 5 minute drive into town. ||The waterpark was perfect to unwind for a couple hours, and we really enjoyed the indoor/outdoor ho

Nicely appointed rooms that were very clean. There was also low noise from other rooms. Check in and out was efficient and friendly. I was there to nordic ski and the indoor/outdoor hot tub in the water park was a welcome and nice bonus. The negative was the complimentary breakfast. If a Holiday Inn Express is my standard for good, this was a Days Inn presentation. Even the hot water for tea wreaked of coffee taste. No hot items, just cheap carb centered processed food.

Good room but odd small bathrooms. Some of the service was great but there were some things that could be improved. Hopefully when the renovations are done it will be better. The pools are so nice and warm especially the toddler pool and that made it worth every penny. Not to mention the outdoor hot tub we will be back

Positive: Rooms have been remodeled and very nice. Very comfortable beds. Big TV. Love the Northwoods feel of The Waters. Very friendly staff. Negative: Breakfast could be better with very little effort.

A very nice, clean room. There was a lot of noise from the hall, even at 10pm. Very nice breakfast with someone paying close attention to keeping it stocked and orderly. Difficult to get into the building which required walking through a substantial puddle or else climbing over snow. Reported this on the first day. Nothing was done until two days later when the water had finally been drained off. TV remote did not work and the instruction card in the room was for a different remote. Talking to a lady at the front desk did not really resolve the problem.
