The Veranda Inn

BEWARE!! BEDBUG INFESTATION! We went to Nocona this past weekend to have my husband’s memorial. We booked 2 rooms for Saturday night. When we checked into the Veranda Inn, everything appeared clean. We all went to sleep until 5:30 am when my children called me to tell me that there were bugs all over their beds. This was in Room 126. I went and picked up one of the bugs to take to reception. They agreed that it was a bed bug and said Monday morning the regular desk person would give me a refund. She swore that in the year she’d been there they had never had an issue like that before. Based on the fact that the mattresses were in zippered bags and there were tiny bed bugs and big bed bugs I doubted that was true but I let it go. My son and I had an excellent stay. We were in town for a business meeting and couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The facility is clean, well maintained and has a very friendly and attentive staff. We wholeheartedly recommend the Veranda Inn when you need a place to stay in the Nacona area.

We stay here every year when hunting and it’s always been great! The staff is always friendly and the owners are good people! We always stay in the cabins but one year we stayed in hotel area, we have never been disappointed. So if your driving through Nacona and need a place to rest, this is the place!

RV space review - No soap or paper towels (or air blower) in the bathroom. Too cold to shower - no heater. Door to bathhouse did not latch well so anyone could just walk in. We have been traveling for a week staying in a different campground each night and this was the worst and not cheap. No picnic table. The location was quiet and safe. Concrete level pad.

Very friendly staff. Immaculate rooms. No plastic or styrofoam cups…actually has glass drinking glasses and coffee cups. All the comforts of home.
