This is a very lovely place to stay. Robin and the staff are very nice and very accommodating. My last stay, a storm was coming and we got an extra night at the last minute. The Inn is exceptionally clean. My husband loves the trained themed decor and memorabilia. Plus you see trains, he's always taking pictures. There are actual glassware, plates, silverware and large mugs for drinks and wine glasses for wine. The homemade muffins are always good. I would rate this place a 10/10
We had the the good fortune to stay at the Train Masters Inn for a two night stay. The stay was excellent, The room we occupied was well equipped and quite comfortable. The bed was soft and the bathroom facilities were top notch...lots of hot water for the shower. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided. Plenty of parking space and the self check in is great. The old historic atmosphere of a time gone by is very relaxing. Well appointed historic artifacts abound. I will stay here again. Breakfast snacks were great the coffee was really good and sitting on the porch watching the morning break and the birds singing was lovely. The downside to anything is always unavoidable...for an 60 year old the stairs are a little steep as they are and built in the era. The internet was a little cho
This is a nice, quiet place. Very comfortable and clean. My only criticism is that it was a bit too "themed" in that the faux oil lamp with metal shade above the bedstand is perhaps mounted too high up and in any case gave only harsh, unshaded lighting to the bedroom. We ended up using the overhead light (on the ceiling fan) instead. I do recommend visiting the owners' restaurant down the street. We live about an hour away, and it might happen someday that we make the drive out just to eat there again.
The first time we went here was in January, just to get away for the weekend. We liked it so much that we've already been back 2 more times and plan to be back again. Very clean and welcoming. Fresh baked muffins, juice, water, coffee and yogurt await you in the morning. Oh and the restaurant, The Steaming Tender is fantastic. The nostalgic atmosphere in a former train depot gives it a magical feel. The menu features a wide variety, including specials. The food is amazing. Robin, the owner of both the Trainmasters Inn and the Steaming Tender is an absolutely lovely person. We will definitely be back soon!
I found this inn online and decided to try it since I like trains. I will say that the area around the inn looks a little depressed, but the inn itself was very nice and had plenty of parking. They text you a code a couple of hours before check-in that you use to enter the secure door and you find your key waiting for you at the "ticket office." I stayed in a Room 5 which was a queen room on the second floor. The steps are a little narrow going up, but it's interesting to see all the railroad memorabilia on display. My room was clean and spacious. I loved that they had a ceiling fan which I used instead of having the AC running. The bed was comfortable and I didn't even hear any other guests, so it was quiet. I left early and found they had coffee, juice and some muffins where you drop yo
