The Symes Hot Springs Hotel & Mineral Baths

It is currently 3am and we are in rm 12. Something is banging outside and I cannot get any sleep. Its ridiculous. I came here to sleep well since the whole week I have had lack of sleep. Doors open and shut, loud bangs on the metal roof, some kind of compressor running, its like they're doing construction downstairs. I love helping out small businesses and am very frugal (hence the cheapest room) but I might try Quinns or some other place next time just for the day. Water is nasty, sure. I will say that the room had a good strong heater and the beds were good and clean albeit a bit soft for my liking, but average firmness. No tv, wifi was too far away to work so we ended up using our data. Hot tub is good and hot though, when it's not packed with ppl. Didn't try the food. Room rates aren't

Rooms are outdated and definitely need a good clean so if that's too bothersome for you don't go. It's old and even says they're looking for staff.... BESIDES THAT! I don't go for the room. I go to enjoy the hot springs. There's a variety of pools at different temps. Very laid back atmosphere which I appreciate. And it's in the middle of nowhere. Perfect. My kind of Montana place.

Very disappointed. The jacuzzi suite is run down, dirty, and noisy - louder than the apartment complex I live in! There is hair and dirt all over the floor in the bathroom. The rooms feels very insecure like any moment someone could come barging in. The locks on the doors are very flimsy and old. I don’t feel like I can even relax enough to sleep. You can hear all the conversations of the people in the outdoor jacuzzi while in the room. I was also charged more than the prices listed on their website, which felt VERY misleading. Definitely not worth the cost, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Can’t wait to leave. Lastly, we found copious amounts of mold in the room with the jacuzzi!

CAUTION!!! Think twice before staying at Symes. The room/apartment we were expected to stay in smelled, there was grease in the foil drip pans under the stove burners, beds were hard and horrible, the shower was inadequately sized, and we felt very unsafe. It appeared nothing had been updated for decades. We could not stay there.

Worth the money if you just want to soak. Outdated TV's and furniture. I get that it's from 1940s era and trying to keep with the theme is the idea, but most of the furniture looks more like thrift store. Enough about that. The pools were extra--green. Green enough that nearly everyone commented about it. I don't know if it's common for them to be green, but they were incredibly green. A patron called it Mountain Dew. Now, the best reason to go to Symes is that it supports the little community's economy. The staff is what brings me back, over and over. It's the pleasant smiles and laid back vibe for me. There's a restaurant on site that serves pretty decent food. In my opinion, it's worth the money, time and effort to visit Symes. SIDE NOTE: The patrons are usually a kick in the pants. Lau
