The Sterling Inn

We had such a wonderful stay at Sterling Inn. From the moment we arrived, the place truly felt like home. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made our stay even more special. The bed was so comfortable — we slept so well every night! One of the things we loved most was the large common area where families can hang out together, watch movies, or just relax and enjoy each other’s company. Breakfast was always amazing and served hot — sausages, eggs, and even biscuits and gravy! They also have free coffee available all day, which we really appreciated.

The Sterling Inn epitomizes hospitality! The atmosphere, owners, food & beverage treats, cozy breakfast, warm welcome, & all of the little touches delighted us & made us feel completly welcome. Sue & Bill felt like friends right out of the gate. The holiday vibes were magical & it was the perfect fit for us. I highly recommend this place… We’ll be back!

We stayed with my husband on December 24, 2025, for just one night while traveling to Canada, and we absolutely loved this place. The hotel is very cozy, warm, and welcoming, with plenty of space — including a comfortable living room and a dining area. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. In the morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We slept very well and felt refreshed for the road. The hosts, Bill and Sue, were extremely friendly and welcoming, and you can really feel the care and attention they put into this place. We were very satisfied with our stay and will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

New administration since July 2025! All home food with great service. I stayed one night to rest from the long drive on my way to Quebec city and had a great night sleep! Even if I was the only guess that day they still served me enough food for 6 (or 3 lumberjack…), I am not showing the coffee counter for guess: with fruits, breads of all kinds, cereals, .. huge choices! ;-) By the way this is real maple sirop! I will have to come back for the multiple trails around! The prices includes the drive to and from the start of the trails!

Great Historic Inn, very cozy with a spacious, light-filled gathering room. Welcoming bed and breakfast with wonderful hosts. Loved the snowshoeing along the Kennebec river – gorgeous!
