The Spur Hotel

Great Little Place, very clean and comfortable. On Our Top list of Locations to stay. Quiet,relaxing. Murn’s restaurant just across the street great breakfast. All locally owned locations . Very Peaceful place. Especially with out TV’s in rooms So relaxing .🙏

First off. I love the owners. They are the best there is hands down! Second my room.. I stay every year for the HTH 100…is ALWAYS spotless and comfy! I have everything I need. I can actually take a tub bath! Her accommodations are PERFECT. The place across the street Friday Fish Night is sooo good!! This is a real review I have been coming for the last 8 years for my bike ride. I will never stay anywhere else for this ride or when I visit WF.

The staff are a delightful husband and wife. The library/lounge and front porch are great place to enjoy the Archer City pace of life (like cold molasses). But if you are lucky enough to get to the Larry McMurtry bookstore, you can enjoy a book in either spot. The hotel is great, only complaint is you can hear any noise in the hallway.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Spur on a whim during a cross country road trip. What an incredibly special place. A slice of home and Texan hospitality. Dotty the owner was so warm and accommodating and really treated us like family. A truly local gem.

Stayed in the Lonesome Dove suite with some friends for a weekend. The weather was chilly but the rooms kept us warm. Super cozy, and just a few steps away from the square. John & Dotty, the owners, are friendly and welcoming. The love and care they put into the hotel shows in their interactions and how they treated us during our stay. ||No better place to stay when you're visiting Archer City!
