The Shores at Lake Travis

Needs some updates/paint on the exterior. Inside the unit was adequate. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials. No condiments are provided so bring salt, pepper, ketchup and spices if you plan to cook and eat in during your stay. 1 initial coffee packet was provided. After that you'll be on your own. Laundromat at the office $.2.00 wash $2.00 dry. Change and laundry soap was available at the front desk for purchase

Nice friendly stay at The Shores - very clean, well decorated two bedroom unit with baths, complete kitchen. Large leaving room Great TV channels! Some components worn or dated, like counters and cupboards. No maintenance of pool area, grounds, games area outdoors. Fun to see all the deer on the property!

Older resort. Should call it a retreat. It is very quiet. No activities at the resort (though they have a skeetball, basketball, pool, indoor ping-pong, indoor pool table) Laundry is a coin operated laundry room off of the main office. The nearby town is a sleepy little place, but plenty of restaurants, bars, grocers. Microbrewhouse nearby was a great find. Easy commute to austin, and Fredericksburg for day trips. The lake is right there for warmer months. Bottom line, come for the rest and relaxation. Use it as a base and you will be happy. Don't expect tobe entertained. Oh and buy corn from the front desk if you want a swarm of deer eating out f your hand. Kids will love this.

No signs to tell you rodents will climb in your auto under the hood and eat wires. It cost me $2100 to repair. Also while taking a shower the glass from fan light assembly fell on my head. I am disabled and in a wheelchair for life this property has NO wheelchair access. I feel to the ground twice. Deer are everywhere but will damage your auto, if you feed them. Beds are old and it is very dangerous to stay here.

Rooms outdated. Location is isolated but would be good for older couples who want nothing but relaxation. Not much to do. Staff could not recommend any restaurants. Only have me a list of restaurants. Not very knowledgeable of area. Derrs were everywhere and friendly. I left after one night as thete was nothing to do. Wasted a week of my vacation club points
