The Secret Bed and Breakfast Lodge

We came to the area because my fiance had a dirt bike race at Blueberry Hill, and we weren't stoked about the subpar hotel options off the interstate...I think Hampton Inn was the best alternative in the area and that's not our speed, so we found this little gem and hoped it would be half as good as the pictures. Turns out -it was way better! The views are epic! I only wish I knew prior to going that there were trails accessible because I would have packed a more sensible shoe option! Kris and Charlie were super nice and generous hosts! Kris even shared some wine with me while we were hanging out in the lodge. The breakfast was great! The pets were adorable and really friendly. We look forward to coming back and exploring more of the property!

We stayed the weekend for my husbands birthday and Mother’s Day for me. We were in the Serenity room and it has an outside door by the rooftop pool. After eating a delicious breakfast, we spent the rest of the day at the pool relaxing. A beautiful view!! The king bed was very comfortable. Both nights we ate at a nearby restaurant call Decks and Doors. Very good food and we ate outside on the patio next to the water. The inn is a very beautiful house but does need some updating and deep cleaning.

We had such a wonderful time staying here for the weekend! The food was wonderful, the owners were kind and welcoming, and we loved all the animals. They also offer complementary wine each evening! It is truly a homey and peaceful place to get away and rest. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, quirky, and overall wonderful getaway!

We stayed 2 nights at the love shack for our anniversary, I couldn’t find a better place just one hour and a half from home. From the cozy room to the amazing pool, breathtaking view, delicious homemade breakfast, the pleasant talk, so much to be listed, Charly and Kris made us feel not like guests but as family members, I can’t wait to get back again!!

Great little secret. Probably one of the best secrets in town. Bachelorette party was a blast. We felt like we had our own private island. Pool fun for hours. Complimentary water, wine, and good conversation. Great breakfast. Definitely a nice get-a-way!
