The Sanderling Resort

Great staff and awesome property but they need to lower the rate or increase the value. On the one hand, this hotel is great. Very nice location, beautiful rooms, easy to access your car/room. Great bathroom toiletries, friendly staff, amazing beach access and outdoor amenities. On the other hand, theres so many basic hotel things that are missing that it made the few days very inconvenient. Sure, theres a restaurant on site, but if you want snacks or literally anything else you’ll need to drive 20 minutes into town. Theres no microwaves or laundry room. These sound nit-picky but these aren’t cheap rooms and I came in the off season. So if you stay more than a night you’re going to spend hundreds of dollars on a “resort” and then still have to drive 30 minutes to the nearest laundroma

It was a beautiful place but I got my nails done with dazzle dry. I paid $100 for my service only because they said the polish would last. Not even 72hrs after my nail color was chipping already. This reminds me why I just do my nails at home plus they last longer. What a waste. It also felt kind of rushed. Other than that the spa was nice and the people were nice. I just expected the experience to be a little more elevated and hospitalable for the price.

We have been returning to this resort for years! The outside bar and dining has been amazing. They remember our family and constantly provide impeccable service.|The rooms are always clean and our requests are met without hesitation. The family loves the yoga in the mornings and the game station upstairs. We love utilizing the fire pits for s'mores and relaxation. Can't say enough about the staff and amenities. We will be back soon, can't wait!

Last week my wife and I had a wonderful stay at The Sanderling Resort that included celebrating our 60th Wedding Anniversary. We have stayed there numerous times in the past, and were looking for a quiet spot and a relaxing getaway. Certainly this time of year The Sanderling provided just what we wanted. We were impressed with the recent renovations and glad to see that the resort has not lost its beach side charm.| |As always, it is the staff, and their attention, that make the visit truly outstanding. We really enjoyed our stay at The Sanderling. I thought our room in the north building was super nice without being pretentious. Perfect at this price point and for the area (Duck). My kids liked the hot tub (open in December) and the fire pits/smores. The staff were all great as well. We’re already planning our next visit in the spring.
