The Royal Inn

Very old and outdated. The lady that checked me in was nice but the guy at checkout seemed annoyed to deal with anyone at all. Room was loud and no frills. The AC and decor look like they have been untouched since 1978. The price was low, so I expected less.... But this was below expectations. It seemed clean... But very old. Free breakfast was a few slides of bread to toast and a couple boxes of single serve cereal. Milk or OJ in the fridge. I didn't even see it when I walked in. When I asked the guy behind the counter about it, he growled, "it's right there!" By the lobby, the COULD be a decent place, but no attention to room quality will keep me from returning

Wonderful privately owned motel with an excellent Italian restaurant on the premise. We stayed in the rear building which had spacious rooms. The best part? The soft full size bath sheets!

Positive: Since we were arriving late, the staff gave us key instructions. Upon arrival, there was a big welcome sign to greet us! They were very friendly and helpful! This hotel was just a brief overnight stop on the way to Virginia. It served this purpose well. Negative: ""

I do a lot of traveling and I’ve stayed at some very nice places, but they were very expensive. You absolutely cannot beat the price here. Yes the rooms are very old-fashioned. However, I have to say they are incredibly clean. They have a real Nice mini refrigerator with freezer, air conditioning, small coffee maker, etc. the bathroom was spotless all the nooks and crannies very clean. The door was missing the safety latch, which as a single woman traveling alone I would’ve preferred it had one, but it was broken off. Plenty of outlets in the room, which is truly appreciated when you have electronics. The restaurant was exceptional, and the servers were incredibly nice. Best place to stay while in PA! Seriously....my BF and I rode our bikes from Ontario, Canada and decided to stay the night. Vintage style accommodation which is right up my alley and food at the diner is out of this world. Everyone is so pleasant and kind. We are beyond pleased! Thank you!
