The Royal Block

Hygge. From the decor to the mattress, the atmosphere to the amenities. Hygge. We also enjoy the wine bar, where we chat with guests and with locals who are regulars. This time part of them were members of a group who reenact the era prior to 1600. It's a great place to gather!

After enjoying several stays at The Royal Block during 2024, my husband and I started a new tradition in 2025 of traveling to Waitsburg several times a year. We love to get away from home and visit our favorite little town. We also love The Royal Block. Joe and Tiina are amazing hosts; they make you feel like family. We have gotten to know the locals and every time we see them it's like coming home. The rooms are amazing and the experience is always wonderful!

Far exceeded expectations. Quiet, comfortable, exquisite taste. Extensive art collection that’s museum quality, playful, thought provoking. No TVs, or screens - thank you!!! The owners gracefully opened up the wine bar, on their night off, to make us and other guests relaxing in the lobby immediately feel at home. Be sure to pair your stay with dinner at Bar Bacetto down the block, which is another great experience to savor in beautiful Waitsburg.

We’ve stayed twice at the Royal Block and are always looking forward to our next stay. The attention to detail- from the towels, to the art to the hospitality. It is the most unique, special hotel experience! Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience. This is a destination of its own. We stayed here during their first Royal Block Party. I am still vibing on the music, the people, the art, the warmth and incredible community Tiina & Joe have curated.
