The Rose Resort and Event Center

Stayed at the Rose Resort this past weekend, and was pleasantly surprised. Compared to the pictures they have done some updates to the place The room was clean and very comfortable. I got to enjoy walking the lush greenery around the property and even found a pond. :) They also have a pool. I didn't get to take a swim because I forgot my bathing suit, but I did dip my legs in with my shorts which was much appreciated on such a hot day. It was a great stay. I will be sure to go back.

I don't understand the 5 star reviews and I was not going to write this review because I don't like to write negative reviews, but I don't want anyone else to believe this place is something it is not. I am sorry as well, because Daniel was a nice man. I have stayed at a few places in the area that have been ok and from the reviews I was excited that we would be staying someplace much nicer. It was not, as a matter of fact it was the worst of all of them.. The room was stark, the hot air heat was 80 degrees with no thermostat, the bathroom had rings on the glass shelf, the plumbing was old so the sink would drain slow and get gross, the shower lever was coming off and there was a burn hole in the cover for the "Couch". Was so excited for my stay in Windham but do not recommend this resort at all. Our experience at this property was very disappointing from start to finish. The floors were very noticeably dirty when we arrived, the ac looks like it has mold in it, and it looked like the refrigerator had an old Dunkin bag in it? The overall cleanliness did not match what was advertised. On our second night, the TV stopped working because the remote batteries were dead, and we had to wait 40 minutes for a resolution on vacation for something that should have already been provided. (Nearest stores were close to an hour round-trip and most were closed or closing shortly)

My parents came to Visit me and stayed at the rose resort. The staff was very friendly the pool was excellent and the rooms were nice as well it was a great place to enjoy with my parents. My kids had an amazing time as well very accommodating. Would fully recommend!!

Stayed here as a budget place to sleep for a hike the next morning . It’s not fancy but it’s safe and clean.
