The Rooster Bar and Grill

Love the location, cabins, & locals. Our cabin was occupied when we arrived & their reservation system showed it empty. Nobody knew who was staying there or what to do with us. After an hour of waiting, we suggested they put us in a nearby cabin for the night & move us in the morning. We had a very weak $7 mixed drink at the bar but didn’t order any food. The cabins were like new and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was incredible, almost like a pressure washer when set on massage setting! We enjoyed the corn hole, volleyball, & the slip & slide when we weren’t on the boat.

So much potential for this place. Such a cool place in a great spot. But they dont have a clue what they are doing! Tried to order nachos at the bar. That server told me she doesn't do food and I'll have to find someone else. Another gal at the bar took my order. Yes they were busy, but it shouldn't take an hour and 15 minutes to serve up the most basic, bland boring nachos conceivable. I asked a server if I could pay my tab, was told i have to find someone else because she doesn't have it. The staff need some serious training. There seemed to be an ample number of people there to cover the crowd. I'll probably try it once more, but I definitely won't show up hungry!

I was here with my family for about an hour and a half without my shirt on. No signs stating that you have to wear a shirt anywhere. After me being there for 1.5 hours one of the bartenders rudely started yelling at me telling me I had to have a shirt on. They had 3 bartenders on staff prior to her showing up and it took 30 min to get a drink. I’ve never been to a bar that was this inefficient with poor service. Hope they won’t be open very long.

We got a tour of this place while visiting, it wasn't open. But it is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were very well decorated and I can imagine they'd be so dope to stay in. They have tons of stuff for people to do, dancing, volleyball, boating and we heard there's also a super slide for the kids. I cannot wait to come back in the summer and enjoy this beautiful establishment. Thanks Ken for the tour.

AWESOME Place to spend whenever your able to. Live in the area so spend time fishing and eating at the bar. Great food and awesome people. Thanks for the years of fun.
