The Rocky River Inn

I have stayed here half a dozen times and find this a very consistent property. Enjoyed a 'deluxe' room this trip and though the rooms have always been well appointed, this room rivaled many 4 and 5 star properties I've stayed at. Beds were very comfortable. Room was spotless. Office/lobby also very nice and clean. Front desk personnel not overly warm and friendly but this isnt a bnb and they are very efficient. Highly recommend.

This place is a hidden gem! Looks simple from the outside, but our room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. Nice touches like beautiful modern decor and Aveda brand complimentary soap and shampoo make this a bit nicer than usual. Comfy bed, even had a microwave, fridge and coffee in room. Motel is in a quiet location just a few minutes away from nearby New Milford for eating and shopping options. We stayed three nights and felt happy to return to a quiet relaxing room each night. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My daughter and I stayed here in September, and it was hands-down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had — and that includes budget motels off the interstate. We booked a three-night stay directly through their website (which they conveniently blame on a “third-party system” when it benefits them). On the second morning, I received an urgent call that my son had been injured back home and we needed to leave immediately. We packed up, went straight to the front desk, and explained the situation.||That’s when the misinformation and dishonesty started.||Despite the emergency and the fact that we did not cancel, we simply checked out early, the staff refused to process a refund for the final unused night without “manager approval.” The excuse? Room 141 was nicely decorated and very clean. Spacious bathroom with large tub, very comfortable, thick plush mattresses with crisp white linens. Complimentary soap and shampoo were Aveda brand. Rooms were made up daily, which I haven't seen anywhere since COVID. The family that runs the motel seems to put a lot of pride in providing a quality experience. The river view from our room added to the charm. Even my highly-critical teen daughters approved of our weekend stay.

Never got to stay here but....BEWARE OF HOTELS.COM-THEY STINK! Made a rez for 3 nights thru hotels.com, 830 am on feb 21 Received no confirm email or text by hotels.com, nothing telling me of reservation policies . at 130 pm, same day, realized they were not a pet- friendly place, ( my bad) and tried to cancel the reservation. Hotels.com said ZERO Refund, not even partial. How bad! I called the The Inn, said they have no control, bc Hotels.com rents people rooms without their knowledge or permission. ALSO- hotels .com charged my $140 night, Inn said room was $112/night, per the Inn/Rigo. Obviously will never rent a room thru Hotels.com or Expedia again!
