The Rock Motel

The room was spacious , clean and had been updated. Especially liked the walk in shower. However I felt it a bit overpriced.

The place is clean and comfortable, it would be 5 stars but its a bit run down on the outside . Dont let the outside dissuade you. Each room has its own temp control, a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was spotless, the shower was immaculate. The bed was clean and comfortable. Also the people who run/own it are the NICEST! They are kind and welcoming. There is also an area to sit, and enjoy the breeze, with a full sized BBQ that you can use. Mountainair is a tiny town. This is a great place to stay. If you stay dont forget to check out the B market! Its an old time general store! It too has the NICEST PEOPLE who run it.

The Rock Hotel was perfect for our quick family getaway. The rooms were clean. The owners were exceptionally helpful. One of my pet peeves is hotel rooms with one chair in a room generally occupied by two people, but Rock hotel had two chairs! We would definitely stay there again if we're in that part of New Mexico.

I’ve stayed in a lot of motels in a lot of places, and generally my expectations are pretty low. This place was super clean and comfortable. The owner was super sweet and gave us great advice on places to go. A small coffee maker (not Kuereg, because…the planet) would have made the stay perfection. But even without it, it was a lovely place.

We were in Mounatinair to see the Salinas Missions National Monument. There are two places to stay and we chose The Rock. Glad we did.||||First of all, the hosts are quite pleasant and interested in our comfort. A nice thing. The Motel is an old fashioned strip motel with a gravel parking lot. They've set up an outdoor space with awning, chairs, tables and BBQ grills. We didn't use it. But a nice touch.||||The room is great. It's obvious that they've taken care to keep it updated. It's clean and crisp. The bathroom has been completely renovated. The room has the usual - king bed, bed table, credenza, writing desk, easy chair, mini-fridge and microwave.||||We were impressed with all the care they took to make the room nice. We would definitely stay there again.
