The Rabbit Hole Hostel & Campground

I spent a week here to recharge and then ducking the hurricaine and I loved the Rabbit Hole Hostel. Rabbit and Lucy are amazing hosts. "Hiker's plans are fickle things." The rabbit hole is thoughtful, comfortable and caters to ALL. EXCELLENT service. Truly the home for hikers. This is what every hostel should seek out to be but would still only ever come close. A legendary place. Can't say enough good stuff about it. Thanks for everything!! Jack and I miss you guys! :) *****

Amazing place! I stayed at The Rabbit Hole May 17-19, 2019 as an ending point to my Erwin to Damascus Section hike. (I am a recovering alcoholic and decided against Trail Days) Anyway, I called the number from the AWOL guide at the trail head and within 5 minutes the owner was on site. I didn't find out about the milkshakes until the last day so ask early! Beautiful place with gracious hosts and a really good vibe. Quiet, secluded, well thought out….the shower is amazing…really amazing. Outdoor and just what I needed after 105 miles in 9 days. I found time to read a book and chill in order to wind down after my hike. Was charged UBER rates to Tri-city airport. Very reasonable rates. Highly recommend The Rabbit Hole! See you guys next year! Kat and Rabbit run an excellent hostel. Plenty of tent/hammock spots and a very nice bunkhouse. There is a private cabin available for those who want some privacy. Fresh eggs, potatoes and toast is available for breakfast along with some of the best milkshakes on the AT. An awesome outside shower setup. Laundry service is available. NOBO 449.1.

Rabbit and Kat shuttled me to and from the AT during a recent section hike. Friendly, knowledgeable folk. I parked my car at their place and took a shower there before driving home. I did get a look inside the bunk house – a very nice facility with Netflix and Spotify. I recommend a pair of Crocs or shower shoes for the outdoor shower – you’ll be standing on pea gravel. Highly recommend The Rabbit Hole.

Rabbit and Kat are experienced hikers and have set up a perfect hostel for hikers and even campers. Clean and beautiful bunkhouse and campsites. Breakfast and coffee were delivered to the bunkhouse. Excellent!
