The Point: Camping and Kayaking

Chris really goes out of his way to make sure you have a good time. The river was great. A good bit of "fast" fun water, lots of wildlife, big gravel bars for rock hounding, and plenty of beaches to pull off and swim.

If you are looking for a day of rock hounding local to East Feliciana, Louisiana, this is it! So. Many. Rocks. We didn't find many we wanted to take home but just spending the day hunting and digging was super fun. They have cabins for rent if you'd like to make a weekend of it. We have not stayed yet, but may in the future.

This water feels amazing! The cabins are cozy. The people are so very nice & informative of the area. This is a place you come to either take your kids to fish & kayak or bring your spouse for a nice getaway.

5-Star Review for Twin Waters Cabin My 2-night stay at Twin Waters Cabin was a total blast, especially with all the rock-hunting action! We had access to this killer 1/3-mile private gravel bar along the Amite River, and we scored over 40 agates plus a crazy assortment of other amazing rocks—seriously, rock-hunting heaven! The cabin itself was super cozy and had everything we needed to kick back and relax, making it the perfect basecamp for our adventure. Big props to Misty and Chris Davis, the owners—they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfy the whole time. Their hospitality was next-level, and you can tell they genuinely care about their guests. Great relaxing place along the river. Clean well appointed cabins. Nice covered outdoor porches. Friendly hosts that care about your stay. We plan on going back in the fall. Highly recommend!
