The Pines Inn

As a Hudson Valley wedding photographer, I always love being able to visit new places for celebrations. I photographed a microwedding at the Inn at Pine Plains (The Pines) in October, and it was absolutely lovely. The mansion itself was beautiful and immaculate, with so many charming spots for cozy indoor photos. The couple's guests were also all able to spend the entire weekend at the property, and the guest rooms were gorgeous! They hosted their intimate ceremony on the covered porch, which was such a lovely and unique space. We took photos throughout the grounds, and I was especially charmed by the grove at the far end of the property - it was so beautiful that it felt otherworldly. I would love to visit this space and photograph here again!

This place was very dirty. The bathroom had a moldy shower curtain and the ceiling fan could not be used due to all of the dust. I tried calling management several times. I received text messages only and was given no help with the situation. It was a disaster. Save your money.

I truly don’t have enough words to express how lovely our time was here. It was a privilege to stay in such a gorgeous house but it was the touches the owner and manager made that made it even better. The landscaping was also incredibly beautiful. Very cool venue if you’re looking to do a murder mystery! Truly felt like we were living in Clue. Make sure you spend time in each room as they all have their own character and beauty. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms were so pretty you didn’t want to leave them! We will definitely be back.

I hosted my micro-wedding at The Pines in July 2020 after having to cancel my large destination event in New Orleans. I was blown away by the natural beauty of the property and the ornate vintage beauty of the interiors. Every detail was absolutely gorgeous and our guests kept commenting on how cool the decor was! We all felt like royalty. The rooms were MASSIVE, the kitchen was clean and well-stocked, and the living areas were comfortable. We all had so much fun playing the piano and singing together during the after party! I am so happy that we decided to go with The Pines for our event. It made my wedding unique, and the photos turned out incredible. I would highly recommend the space to anyone looking to host a gathering to remember.

Loved our stay. Well equipped kitchen, lots of glassware etc. Despite historic look in pictures we found it very comfortable. Bedrooms are large, beds & pillows comfortable. attention to detail was excellent. Enjoyed sitting on the decks overlooking private estate.
