We arrived with high hopes to celebrate a birthday weekend. Our happiness was short-lived. On the first night of our stay, someone started blasting a TV just above our room around 1 am. This went on for about 20 minutes until we texted the innkeeper, Brenda, to say there was a TV on at full volume and we couldn’t sleep. As soon as we sent the text, the TV was turned off. In other words, it was her blasting the TV in the middle of the night, without any regard for sleeping guests. (She never responded to the text.)||||That same night it turned chilly. Our room had a comforter stowed in the closet. But when we put it on the bed, it reeked of mildew. If that wasn’t enough, there was a cat that went around caterwauling at 3-4 am in the hallways on both nights. We were both exhausted by the tim

This lovely bed and breakfast on the end of a Harbor is the perfect weekend getaway in an old Whaling wharf building. Brenda couldn't be kinder and she really made us feel at home in her palatial home. The furnishings are grand and comfortable at the same time, the location is warm and peaceful and it is very nearby the New Bedford Whaling Museum and Horseneck Beach. My husband and I loved it and we will be back soon.

Worst experience I've ever had at any hotel B&B Inn etc. Brenda (the innkeeper) was very rude on the phone, at check in and throughout the duration of the stay. She was no where to be found during the hours leading up to the event that was taking place at the inn to answer questions or offer assistance. The inn was dirty the sheets and towels were disgusting. My group and I witnessed a breakfast dish out on the kitchen counter the day that we checked in (which by the way consisted of her yelling at us when we walked in a telling us to just find a room upstairs) that was infested with fruit flies and then had her serve that exact same dish the next morning at breakfast along with moldy fruit that lay uncovered inside the bar fridge. Brenda was also in a very loud verbal argument on her cell

We celebrated our daughter's wedding at the Paquachuck Inn last month. The location was perfect - quaint and exactly what my daughter was dreaming of. The owner, Brenda and her assistant Arlyn were fabulous! They both went above and beyond, even running last minute errands for us with a smile!! This day would not have been the perfect day without their help! I would highly recommend.

Very old building. Rooms are clean. Shared bathroom. Good location in the middle of a working harbor. It's a step back in time. I stay every year when competing in a sprint triathlon at Horseneck State Park. It's a 10 minute bike ride from there. I agree it's pricey, but it has to be an expensive building to maintain, given it's 100+ years old. Inn keeper is friendly. Website is as antiquated as the building.
