We visited The Old Summer House late Fall 2020. As a couple we relaxed, sipped hot cocoa, ate popcorn and watched movies. The property is absolutely beautiful with a few barns, gardens, a fresh water pond that looks very inviting for the summertime, a child’s playhouse, chickens and wonderful outdoor scenery. The scenery is serene and relaxing. The cottage is very well maintained and comfortable. The linens are fresh and fluffy, the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen isn’t overly stocked but has what you would need to prepare a meal. The living space has a daybed/trundle, table for 4 and a lazy boy-not a super cozy family room but gets the job done-the floor was a bit cold. There is plenty of room for a family of six-though we used it as a couples getaway. Overall the property gets

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time on our overnight visit to the Old Summer House Guest House! The summer house has a private entrance, full stocked kitchen downstairs, and a beautiful bedroom and bath upstairs. Everything was clean and well-maintained. It was just what we needed for an anniversary getaway without the kids! Attractions like Shady Maple and Good's are very close by, but we found just hanging out on the farm's grounds was relaxing. The farm includes a pond with a small sand beach, enclosed gazebo and chairs. The atmosphere was very laidback and host Karen was kind. As a side note, the farm has a cute swingset and playhouse kids would love right next to the summer house. Thanks, Karen and Dennis, for a very nice stay!

Ladies get away - traveled to the Old Summer House with my friend, her two daughters and my daughter. We were going to explore the Amish Community and did not want to stay in a hotel; well we could have not found a better spot. This place is just beautiful. The pond is not just a typical weedy pond, it is treated w/chemicals and has gorgeous beach sand and beautiful chairs around it. The kids swam in the pond every day, it was about 95 every day when we visited. The breakfasts were amazing; the place was extremely clean; the owners we so nice; they had kittens that our daughters played with every day. I absolutely loved the dog, Chaz I believe is his name. I really would have loved to of taken him home with me. All in all I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the

I’m sorry to say that I have the first negative review. I would not recommend this stay if you have any children. This was actually our second stay and will be our last. The host overbooked our stay twice now and we couldn’t enjoy the property with our kids. The host (Karen) was extremely rude. The moment we stepped foot out of our vehicle we were asked to stay indoors because they had booked another event. We respectfully obliged and had asked if it was ok that we invite two other family friends over and Karen as well as her husband had said it was fine and that we had the whole property to explore besides the cornfield. When the event was over our family went out to enjoy the amenities they offer. A couple hours later (around 7:30PM) Karen came out upset and yelling “when are you wrapp

This was our third time staying at The Old Summer House. Although, I do have to say it's listed as a hotel and I would definatly say it's a Bed and Breakfast more than a hotel for sure. I stayed with my husband and 7 year old son and had a wonderful time! Each time we've been here the Stoners have made us feel right at home! Everything was very clean and I just loved having a fully-equiped kitchen as well! There is a playset and a wooden playhouse for the kids and plenty of room for them to run around! A very friendly dog Jezz kept us company as we roamed the yard filled with so much to see and do! Miniature horses, chickens (my son got to help feed them!), a beautiful pond, beautiful views! The breakfasts each morning we amazing and defiantly filled us all up! Fresh fruit from lo
