Our daughter was married at The Old Lantern Inn and Barn this weekend, and I couldn't wait to write this review. As the mother of the bride, you want everything to be PERFECT for your daughter. This goal was achieved with the help of Sol, Lisa, Jess and Jill at The Old Lantern. They were kind, professional, helpful, understanding, patient and hard working. They answered questions (probably multiple times) with calmness and explanation. I was fully able to enjoy the wedding, handing over all worries when I was needed to be present. Jess met with me and continually stayed in contact with me during the planning process with patience, information and suggestions. She promptly responded to my questions regardless of the time or day I was texting her on! Another way to keep my nerves cal
Cons: Our “cozy queen” felt more like a Cozy 3/4 queen bed. Bathroom is for one person at a time. Outlets were loose and didn’t hold Plugs well. A bedside table on both sides would’ve been nice and also a mirror other than shoulders down since the bathroom Was 1 At a time. All rooms are on the second floor. Pros: fresh fruit, decent serve yourself breakfast, pretty farmhouse setting with casual vibe and antiques. Location was farther off the road than I’d thought but it was only 15 minutes into Burlington. Beds were comfortable just Smallish. Good towels
This is a nice inn/B&B nestled in the country not far from Charlotte, Vermont. The rooms are nicely decorated, as is the rest of the property (European rustic in the style of the owner’s French background). Rooms are comfortable, and the sofas in the downstairs eating area/lounge are very comfy—a nice place to hang out in the evenings. The outside is spacious and nice; also a good place to just hang out. Breakfast, as has been pointed out by others, is somewhat spartan—cereal, oatmeal, and fresh fruits. It could definitely benefit from some of the excellent muffins and pastries that can be found at local bakeries and cafes. We did meet the owner, who was very friendly and helpful with information. The price also was good, particularly when comparing with prices at inns and hotels close
This place is a gem. Quiet, comfortable and clean. There is no TV but it didn't matter. I had my laptop and the wifi worked great. Didn't see any staff when I checked in but also didn't matter, my room was ready and it was beautiful. I spoke with Lisa on the phone prior to my arrival and she was gracious and accommodating. I met her on my way out in the morning and she was super sweet. I can't recommend this place enough. I would totally stay here again.
We hosted a baby shower in March. Lisa, Jess and their whole team were wonderful to the whole group. It was a pleasure working with them through the whole planning process too. They are very prompt in responding to questions and requests. We had so much fun.
