The Ohioan Hotel & Event Center (formerly Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center)

After discovering the Ohioan Hotel & Event Center while searching for a place to host a weekend retreat with friends, we decided to book several rooms for the weekend. It’s hard to believe this location is only 10 minutes outside of Columbus and just minutes from the busy Polaris area. The moment we arrived, the hurriedness of the city vanished while we still remained conveniently close to every activity and restaurant you could ask for. Stayed here because this is where are convention was taking place. I have stayed here before the renovation and was unimpressed and honestly I still am unimpressed. |At check in the lady had the personality of a rock, however on check out the staff member was very polite and nice. The lobby was very nicely remodeled and was cozy with the fireplace. |The rooms themself are just so small, especially the bathroom. The sink area was so tiny I had to sit my items on the closet shelf, the sink overflow drain also had an awful odor and every time we ran water in the sink it smelled like garbage. There is also no door to the sink area so my husband was still sleeping and I had to turn on all the lights to get ready for work like it was Christmas. |The Shower and Toilet are in a room alone, showe

Hotel is currently undergoing interior renovation, but we were not inconvenienced by this.  Our room was brand spanking new and it was comfortable, clean and spacious.  The breakfast buffet was delicious and the Pub was a nice evening spot.All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

First time visiting your establishment. I was very impressed with the outer appearance of the grounds which was beautiful and well kept. The inside of the hotel was very cleaned with the inside decor being very nice and comfortable. The front desk staff was very welcoming and professional answering all of our questions and explaining our bill and where to find our rooms and other amenities in the hotel and on the grounds. Housekeeping Staff did an excellent job cleaning our room and bringing us an extra blanket when requested. Check out was a breeze and the staff asked us if we enjoyed our stay and thanked us for choosing National Hotel and Conference Center. I will definitely staying at this establishment again when in the area for business or leisure.

This hotel provided me and my friends a great experience overall! The staff was always accessible and friendly. The location is perfect, walking distance to Roosevelt Coffee/Olentangy River Brewing Company and close to Highbanks Metro Park
