The New Getaway Resort

We had an end of summer gathering at The View. I wanted to go to a place where we could social distance. What a perfect place to go. My family loved it. Very quiet and relaxing.||||The outside could use some work. Deck boards needed to be replace. ||||We had everything we needed. Loved the pol area. My boys loved the put put golf area. Kitchen was stocked with amenities||||Hope to make it an annual trip

The web site for the "New Getaway Resort" is dated and misrepresents the amenities available for use to the guests. All four of these houses are individually owned and no longer cared for or owned by the original 1 owner. The Pelican Park which is pictured on the web site is no longer available for use by the guests. The house I was a guest in had mold throughout the downstairs barbecue area. The area residents mentioned that numerous guests have complained that the amenities are not what was represented according to the website. The dock for the house we were in is under construction. The front deck lacks stairs to the ground level and prohibits exit from the front door in the case of an emergency there is only 1 exit out of the house. The front deck had several rotted planks. I love it at the New Getaway ! This has to be the best kept secret in South Mississippi it's awesome! Everything was perfect we all felt a home. Very beautiful place with the best sunsets. Paradise can't wait to go back.

If you are looking for a great place to go to kick back relax and enjoy the outdoors with family and friends this truly is the best place. We have been here since Thursday and the kids have enjoyed themselves the whole time. The property is very cleaned, the house was very clean it is very warm and welcoming and feels like home! The owners are located on the property an they make sure all visitors settle in well. It is definitely a hidden gem! We are looking forward to coming back here again. Good luck in getting anyone on the phone. I booked this through their Facebook page and three days into I’m still trying to get hold of someone. Finally tracked down the persons personal Facebook page and she said oh we don’t book through that site anymore. So I ask how to book with no answer. Sounds sketchy at best now. No thanks and will spread the word. Would hate to get there and need something. Doubt you’d be able to get hold of anyone.
