The Middlebury Inn

Our second time visiting this town and staying at Middlebury Inn. Love it! It a very old Inn, but it has been kept in great condition. Rooms are quaint and lovely. The restaurant within is attractive with a nice atmosphere, good food and service. The Inn's location is perfect with shops, coffee shops, eateries all within walking distance. Reasonable prices, too. Hope to return again next year. 🥰

The Middlebury Inn is gorgeous. If you appreciate a historic hotel that's filled with character this is the place for you. It's conveniently located in the center of Middlebury and it only takes a few minutes to walk to shops and restaurants. The Inn is located on a busy roundabout. We had breakfast at the Inn each day and our meals were delicious (we included breakfast when booking). Our room was cozy and nicely appointed. My favorite spot was the lobby where there was plenty of comfortable seating and soft music playing. It was a perfect place to relax.

Reserved a single-night stay in a room with a king bed and kitchenette in the annex. While the old Middlebury Inn building is quaint with historical charms, the annex is like staying in a roadside motel, except there is no cost savings for all that is lacking. A 3/4 inch crack under the entry door - presumably to allow easy access for mice and pests, cracked and shifted tiles on the bathroom floor, a bathtub that looks like it came from a 1950's row house with plumbing fixtures to match, and a sliding door with a layer of filth in the track that opens to NOTHING - just a railing to keep people from falling out - are a few of the more negative highlights of the room. Internet access was unavailable, and upon inquiry the front desk said it was "due to the weather!" (Note - It was 80 degr

Visiting family for a baptism. We went skiing. Had Haymaker buns. Shopped at the co-op. Tried all the little||Coffee shops. Tavern was delicious. Ate at Mad Taco. Wonderful little town.

We especially appreciated the hotel's policy re. handicapped accessibility - everything from the reservationist's knowledge of issues in this area to the specific layout and proportions of the room A model for what good hotels should be following instinctively. But do not always.
