The Metamora Inn

A hotel is just a place to crash. The Metamora Inn was a healing experience. The facilities are cozy, location so very convenient but; best of all, the hostess makes you feel like a welcome friend. Karen started our days with a gourmet breakfast to fuel our adventures and delightful conversation that set a positive mood for the day. Our stay at the Inn and the village will be a memory fondly recalled.

Tho I've taken day trips to Metamora several times, had not been in quite a few years, so when a friend and I decided to go to Wolf Creek Habitat nearby, thought it would be fun to stay there and visit Metamora again as well. Picked this place sight unseen, but based on reviews and pictures online. Left a message, received a call back same day and booked a single room with two queen beds. Would have liked a bit more space to spread out, but the rooms that would allow that were already booked and this one turned out to be very pleasant, with its own bath. Also had a little heater so we could adjust the room temperature to our liking. Room rates reasonable, considering full breakfasts come with the price. Have been staying here for Canal Days for many many years. The folks who owned it before, became family to us❣The new owners are very kind & friendly & just really great folks too! Best place ever to come and stay. The breakfast alone reminds you of home cooking that we missed as a child. The townsfolk were so friendly. We are looking to buy and move here it's so peaceful compared to city life. 100% recommend the town and the stay here. If you want to see nature, bird sanctuary, or just get away this is the place.
