The MC Hotel, Autograph Collection

Just home from a three night stay. I found my room spotless and accommodating! We had a king room with a sofa/table. I loved the sofa! It was long enough to stretch out, always a plus. The rooms seem solid, there was no noise from other rooms. The bar/restaurant was surprisingly great. The service was above & beyond at breakfast this morning! Very impressive! Obviously the location is fantastic! Lots of interesting shops and restaurants within walking distance. I look forward to coming back!

Only spent one night here and it was a very short stay due to a late arrival but will definitely return. We were in town for a family funeral and found the staff friendly and welcoming after a very long day. ||Room was spotless , bed incredibly comfortable and shower had great water pressure. We were on the 6th floor and found it to be very quiet. It ticked all our boxes, our only complaint is that our stay could not be longer.

I needed a short stay. When I arrived at this beautiful palace, I was very pleased and very comfortable. The lobby was beautiful and sparkled. The attendant was very attentive. made me feel very comfortable. My car was valet, parked for me. I was given instructions with just a click on my phone and my car would be waiting for me right up front. there. My room was perfect very comfortable I couldn’t ask for anything else. I’m very familiar with Montclair, but I had no idea that this palace was hidden right in front of my eyes. |There’s an awesome rooftop lounge. Drinks & music just perfect. I got up & had a delicious à la cart breakfast. This MC Bonvoy is a perfect 10 for me.

I stayed here over New Years, to get both experiences in NYC and New Jersey. My experience here was not good. The rooms were and overall scenery were nice, but hospitality wise, it was not good. Staff was rude. One of the guy bartenders were rude, he was very loud, demanding and would not let us get a word out when trying to have a conversation. The Allegory, which is within the hotel, had a new Years Eve party that me and my girlfriend did not know about until 10 pm at night because we heard drums and music from our room. We went downstairs to see what the noise was about; they said tickets were sold out and we could not be in the bar downstairs area, in the party area beside the bar, or the rooftop without a wristband that was sold out. We stayed several days at the MC in Montclair, N,J. We had an early flight arriving about 11:00 am. It was nice that they accommodated us with early check-in. Our room was nice with a great view (8th floor) and very clean. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and were happy that the hotel was within walking distance of great restaurants that also had outdoor seating. We tried the rooftop bar and enjoyed the view of New York at night. Unfortunately the music was a little loud for our tastes but maybe it resonates with a younger crowd. When we asked for our check, it did not come right away and I had to actually go into the bar where our server was talking to a manager for it seemed quite a while.
