The Mattituck Motel

Great spot for a girls weekend! Safe, clean and great hospitality from the owner. We were given good recommendations for both winery visits and restaurants. We will be back!

The standard room with its old fashioned, homey decor was delightful. We slept well in the comfy bed. Melinda, who checked us in, recommended Case’s Place, just a short scenic drive away, for a casual seafood dinner with a water view. We enjoyed the delicious food and local wine. ||||The room was quiet. The curtains on the windows were pretty but too thin for the outside porch light coming in. We forgot to mention to Melinda we unscrewed the outside light bulb to solve this. Then the room was good and dark. ||||We woke up to birds singing. ||||The town is quaint and breathtaking in spring with all the colorful blossoms. We spotted a couple of deer next door. ||||Thank you for a short but sweet stay!

I came to the North Fork area on very short notice for a sudden and very unexpected funeral, and had virtually no time to make arrangements. Fortunately, the Mattituck Motel was available, very convenient to the funeral home, clean, cozy and comfortable and had all the amenities I needed to make the stay as easy as possible under the circumstances. Kerry and his wife are wonderful, friendly folks (and major vintage car enthusiasts - bonus!) who made my stay as easy as it could be. Wish I could have hung out longer just to talk cars! I would absolutely recommend this cozy, quiet spot and can only imagine how nice it would be to return in the summertime to visit the beaches and everything this beautiful area has to offer.

We stayed here for an entire week while attending a family reunion right down the road. If you are looking for the Ritz, keep looking. If you are looking for nice accommodations and a friendly, family owned place that is clean, well located and moderately priced in a beautiful area of the North Fork of Long Island, then this may be the place for you. The town is charming, the wineries are spectacular, the motel is walking distance to a very nice little beach and the room was more than satisfactory for our needs. Clean sheets and bedding, clean towels, and new carpet in the room. The furnishings are nothing special but our room had everything we needed, even a small kitchenette. We would definitely stay again and many of the people we spoke to that week were regular, repeat vacationer

A gem! From first phone call to make the reservation to departing morning, owners were over the top awesome. We had an efficiency room, two queens,sitting area and kitchenette. Spotless clean. Mid century decor, cabin like feel. Grounds are tucked away from the east end of Long Island weekend hustle and bustle. Absolutely enjoyed our stay.
