The Lyle Hotel

Another fabulous stay at The Lyle, thanks on large part to Johnny Pelzer and the whole team. We’ve returned now for our third stay and the staff remembers us and greets us warmly and with care. From storing our bikes to making sure we had our drink coupons for the bar, not to mention beautiful rooms adjacent to one another. Kitchenette room was perfect for adult siblings to share with lots of room and amenities.

This was the perfect place for a group rental. We rented all 10 rooms so we had the Hotel all to ourselves. The place is gorgeous and special. Renovated rooms are well equipped and comfortable. So many great spaces for family to visit. The manager was responsive and easy to work with. The only downside to our visit was I wish we had stayed longer!

Loved every moment of my visit from start to finish. Not only are the rooms and the common spaces beautifully decorated but the staff is amazing (special shoutout to Johnny for taking care of us). Greeted with a smile and a happy birthday song, I knew I’d love it here. The rooms are clean, beds comfy, and the location is perfectly situated near a variety of nearby restaurants and activities. Will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Dupont!!

Quiet and comfortable set up and perfect for the self-sufficient traveler who doesn’t want to be fussed over. Torn about the bar & restaurant no longer operating as it might have been less quiet. I arrived by bicycle and was able to lock up in the fenced in patio (you cannot see through the fence) with no issue. Unfortunately the rooms are not accessible to those with mobility challenges as they are upstairs and this old, restored building has not elevator. Thoughtfully set up and I imagine that even when booked up there is plenty of common area to share, and indoors and out. Actual bike rack to lock up at would be nice as wood more hooks in bathrooms and rooms (my room had no closet). The trains make themselves known but I wasn’t bothered. Would return.

I stayed in Lyle after exploring the Columbia Gorge and was a little disappointed with the service. The hotel has ten rooms and I reserved a queen room with a shared bathroom and breakfast. It was difficult to sleep with the trains that run in front of the hotel during the night. The breakfast included instant oatmeal, granola, yogurt, english muffins, orange juice, and keurig coffee. You will find a cozy hotel with an outdoor patio, bar, dining room, a small library, and nice views of the Columbia Gorge. The self check-in hotel sends you the code for the door on the day you arrive, but failed to send it until I called from Lyle. Located on Seventh Street, just off Hwy 14 near the Lyle Market.
