The Lux Hotel & Conference Center, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Overall so far my stay has been good. Some cleaning of the room could be desired. But front desk help by Mya Ortega has been wonderful. She has made my stay comfortable and she is very kind! She needs a raise and I hope everyone at this hotel is getting paid how they deserve and. Your restaurant bartender Steve is also highly recommended. So pleasurable and relaxed hwre that Ive extended my stay. I do recommend this hotel with just a tad more cleanliness and quietness in the morning hearing the vacuum is way too much when you want to sleep past nine am! 🙏

First time to Waterloo and surrounding area. Very nice hotel, with clean, pleasant sized rooms. Easy check-in and free parking. Restaurant onsite is very good with excellent waitstaff. Bummed they only had Prime Rib on Friday's and Saturday's (I was there on a Thursday). Comfortable bed, good TV with plenty of channels. Heating system worked very well. Walmart right next door. Will stay here again if I'm ever in this area.

Rooms are ok but they desperately need a more modern look and better amenities. Ice machine on 2nd floor not working. Lobby was well decorated and customer service was wonderful. For the price, this hotel is still a good bargain.

Service was great. Breakfast was excellent. Front desk interactions were friendly and efficient. But..Hotel is aging (some rust flaking into / out of the shampo on the walls in the bathroom, no smoke detector on wall - exposed wires, ice machine in hallway dripping, signs of wear appropriate for the relative age of the hotel) Courtyard and pool would make this a desirable place in the summer. Enjoyed our stay and would return, but hotel is due for some noticeable renovations Side note- No NBC channel came in making watching Sunday night football difficult. Not the end of the world, but was surprised it wasn't part of the basic lineup.

The stay was great. VERY friendly staff.Clean, quiet rooms and building. Only downfall were cars flying in and out of parking lot. They drove past the front soo fast. It's a wonder someone hasn't been seriously injured yet there. They should put speed bumps in by front doors or something. The receptionist were outside on one occasion during my stay, and witnessed it and took the proper steps. Overall if ever in area again, I would stay here. ALL of the staff were great to us ladies during our training conference.
