The Lodge on Main, an Old Forge Vacation Rental on Main St

Had an amazing time with my group of 11. Modern and spacious family/dining area, along with a full kitchen. Very clean and organized when we arrived. The lodge has a great proximity to everything in the area, yet not directly in the busy center of town. Internet and TV were very welcome for movie nights as well! Host was pleasant and responded quickly to all questions. Highly recommended staying here for a NY hiking trip and/or family vacation.

Just stayed for the second time and we just absolutely LOVE it here. We were impressed by the space last year and have every intention on continuing to stay at The Lodge On Main for our annual trip! Accommodations are perfect - there is so much space! We have 8 kids in our group and we are never cramped! The upstairs room is great for the kids! The details and downstairs living area are perfect. It truly has everything we could need in a great location! Just wish the previous disgruntled guests who stole the guest log would return it for the sake of the other guests who enjoy looking at the memories from previous years! Thank you for another great year and can’t wait to come back!

The Lodge is great for large groups. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy relaxing after climbing Bald Mountain. Great kitchen and space for dining, all 11 of us sat together at table. Great communication with owner. Bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and kept nice. We loved sitting around campfire eating s'mores. Nice private backyard area.

To begin, I have never been treated so disrespectfully or unfairly by a host or anyone in the hospitality business in my entire life. We booked The Lodge on Main a year in advance for a much anticipated family reunion. To quote the website ad directly, ”We designed The Lodge on Main to comfortably accommodate large groups of friends and families. With a huge open floor plan that combines the kitchen, great room and dining room, you'll never feel cramped.” Under amenities in the website description in the ad reads “Large Group Rental (10+)” We were not on the property 30 minutes before the owner approached us and inquired as to how many people were on the rental property as there were too many vehicles in the lot. (6 total) There was no mention of parking on the rental agreement or website

This was our third time staying at the Lodge on Main Street. The place is perfect for us and was squeeky clean upon our arrival. Our Hosts were very accommodating and available 24/7. Highly recommended.
