The Lodge at Ute Lake / Yucca Motel

We stayed at the Yucca Motel on our way back home. We easily made our reservation online. We arrived after 11 pm and were greeted by a friendly and helpful woman at the front desk. She took us to our room which was exceptionally clean. The best part were the beds! Very comfortable with crisp white sheets and a handmade afghan on the bed. We stayed in the “Freedom” room, which had a small refrigerator, HOT water, and super white towels. We will be staying here again when traveling to Arizona.

It was in a good location to have a short stay along the route to Taos, NM. The room was too small and dirty. Dust everywhere in bedframes. Lots of hairs and yellowed pillows. Mattress were too old and the surface was uneven so it caused back pains the next day.

I was very impressed on how well-maintained the rooms were and how attentive the owner of the places super super nice lady goes out of her way to make people feel comfortable since they’ve gotten rid of the old manager. I would recommend my own mother staying here. I’m here on businessand I’m very very impressed. I think anybody driving through that needs a place to lay their head. it’s more than just a place to lay your head. It feels a lot like home, so I hope everybody enjoys their stay as much as I did. The rooms were clean and the staff very accommodating. They had a gathering area with a fire pit and grill, which we utilized every night for our family reunion. Very close to Ute Creek for our family to boat and fish. Will go back again. Russ Rogers

After driving for several days and needing a quiet place to relax and rejuvenate before continuing my trip, Yucca Motel was definitely the perfect place 👌 I was able to tour the state park, restock my supplies and groceries at Logan's supermarket and just relax in my room before hitting the highway again. Room 3 is decorated with a woodsy flare, and just plain quiet and comfortable. The towels and linens were super clean and soft! Thanks for a great rest and pleasant stay. see you again in my future travels out west!
