The Lodge at Lykens Valley

Our stay was ok at best. We arrived late so keys were left on the desk. When we tried to take a shower the water was warm(turned all the way on) for about 2 minutes then went cold from there. Out of a party of 3- 1 person got a shower. The next day in the morning once again thinking the hot water had been run out from the 1 other set of guests that were there (literally 1 other car was in the parking lot) the temps were in the teens over night. We tried to take a shower in the morning same thing warmish water turned all the way on for 2 minutes then getting cold quickly for remainder of our shower. We complained to the girl working there once we were able to find her. We were informed each room had their own water heater and she would get the maintenance man to check it. We went about our

We arrived late on our day of arrival and our key was in an envelope in reception just as promised . Our room was huge ,clean with a large fridge. The accommodation also had a laundry room which as we were staying for 2 weeks was a godsend . We had a problem with our booking on which we were charged twice ...entirely my fault !! ,the lady in reception ,I think was called Heather didn't hesitate to go out of her way to sort it out for us in less than 10 minutes for which we were very grateful. The hotel has a pool and provides pool towels , unfortunately the weather was not on our side ,so didn't use it . The grounds the hotel is set in are immaculately kept . The breakfast was plentiful , lots of pastry, sweet options ,but fruit and oatmeal and cereal if you prefer...plenty of coffee and

A wonderful place to stay! I highly recommend The Lodge at Lykens Valley. The reservation process was quick and very pleasant. When I arrived the check-in was all ready to go and the room was in fantastic condition. The area is beautiful. There is an affiliated restaurant a short walk from the rooms (Swing at Lykens Valley) which I enjoyed. It was great to be able to walk there, enjoy some drinks, and have an easy walk back. But what puts The Lodge over the line are the people. Heather was awesome. I won’t go into details about my reasons but I asked if there was a way to have a very late check out the next day. I would have completely understood if it was not possible but Heather told me upon arrival it was and this was so helpful to me. Again I was told ahead of time with full transpa

The rooms were clean and quiet. The pool was a nice addition and well kept. There are pay laundry machines on site. There is also a propane grill for use near the office. It's a short walk to the swing restaurant which is also worth trip. The manager was polite and accommodating. Even letting us alter our stay when one of the guys with me got sick and had to be taken home.

Loved it, very nice and friendly hosts, they go above and beyond to make sure you're stay is remarkable. My daughter lives in Pennsylvania, this is my choice of hotel when visiting my daughter and granddaughter. The views are astonishing!
