The Little Village

Our group rented two rooms both had an overwhelming smell of pinesol when we arrived. The bed in room 9 was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. We could feel the springs in the mattress through the bed covers. . There were window unit air conditioners in both rooms. Neither one fit properly. We had to call about the large gap under the air conditioner in room 6. Tape and stuffing a towel aren’t appropriate fixes. Room 6 had no Kurig cups. Two were brought but there was no cup for drinking the coffee. We gave room 6 one of the cups from room 9. Then the Kurig machine didn’t work properly the next morning. The caulking along the bathroom sink in room 9 looked dirty. The one good thing was the proximity to the trail. Perhaps the owners should spend a night on that awful bed and s

We arrived for an overnighter after dining with friends in Verona. A key was left at our door for late arrival. The room smelled very nice as we entered, and the bathroom and linens were clean. We enjoyed a very good night of sleep. But the screen door was broken, and the shower could use some TLC. We were surprised at how cramped our room was, and there was no ice bucket that we could see. The next morning we searched for an ice machine, but found none. And the office was locked at ~0930. Not much value for the money. We would only stay here again if the price were reduced by $25-30.

Great location, easy to find, close to everything. Very clean, quiet, nicely decorated, comfortable beds. Would absolutely stay here again!

Have stayed here once before, WAS great for local events! However, they have the worst cancellation policy I have encountered. I made a reservation, cancelled it 4 days later (well in advance of the reservation date itself) and they refunded me 50%. It does say it on their site, so I guess that’s enough reason to feel good about taking my money for nothing! I will no longer recommend this to anyone coming through town. May as well air bnb or stay are a real hotel and not get robbed if your plans change.

The location and rates are excellent! Downtown is only a few minutes away. It's very scenic and quiet. The traffic isn't too noisy, and you rarely hear big trucks at all, (which was my favorite part of being here!!) The parking lot is small. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I only wish all of the rooms had AC. Hot days are no fun when you can't move the air.... That one thing aside though, I very much recommend this place to single and couple travelers of all ages and expeditions.
