The Lion’s Den

If I could give more than five stars, I would. I was lucky enough to be the first guest of the 2025 season at The Lion’s Den, and what Mary (also known as Lion) has created here is nothing short of sacred. This isn’t just a place to camp or rest. It’s a genuine sanctuary for hikers. Lion opens her home, her time, and her heart to everyone who walks through the gate. She’ll offer you a ride to Harts Pass, a hot shower, and a place to breathe when you need it most. And she does it all with quiet strength and zero expectation. What makes it even more incredible is that Lion beat cancer last year and still came back stronger, still shuttling hikers in a car that honestly deserves retirement. Lion is the best. This place is a must stop if on the PNT and the PCT. She opens up her guest cabin for Permitted PCT and PNT hikers. She provides showers outdoor rest rooms and laundry services. The the kitchen is fully equip with spices and coffee in the morning. It is Donations Only to help her off set the cost of supporting the hikers. She is a blessed soul!

Under new ownership in 2022! Really cool hostel. It’s caters to hikers from the PCT and PNT. Great place to relax for a couple days. Full kitchen, two showers, laundry, plenty of outlets to charge, and camping. The outdoor lounge area is nice. Really good vibes here. Definitely stay here on your way thru. No cost to stay. It’s donation based.

Miss Mary and team are fantastic. She even drove us into town for resupplies when the normal shuttle driver wasn't available.

Best place in the world to end a pct thru hike. Lion's is the best and you ll find everything you need there.
